The company was founded in 1997 in the Calcinara district of Candia (Ancona) with the initiative of Mario Berluti, an expert in the wine industry whose time spent in the wine field led him to identify the soil composition of Candia's hills, an excellent forum for the development of the vine. So in 1999 on the 20 hectares of property, the first vineyard of 4 hectares of the Montepulciano grape were planted with the spurred cordon cultivation system. The project is to bring the Montepulciano varietal to its maximum expression, enhancing its qualities and highlighting the interaction that it's able to express with Candia's soil. For this reason, in 2005 the new winery was founded and it wasn't until 2007 that the first Folle came to light. In the meantime, the vines were increased until arriving at 9 total hectares. Also, the first monovarietal olive oil was produced from the 4 hectares of olive groves.
Everyone in the family takes part in the entire productive cycle, from the pruning of the vines to the grape harvesting in small boxes and from the refinement in oak barrels to the commercialization of the wine.
